Lexis and Westlaw Points for Haiti

Did you know that you can donate your reward points from both Westlaw and Lexis to relief efforts in Haiti?

Our Lexis rep writes: “students can donate 250 LNUR points to the Red Cross. All donations made to the American Red Cross from now through March will be designated to the Haiti Relief Fund. Students just need to click on their Rewards tab and it will take them to the rewards center that will tell them how they can donate.”

And, from our Westlaw rep: “tell students to go to the lawschool.westlaw.com home page where they’ll find an ad that says “Donate Points to the Haiti Earthquake Relief Effort.” Clicking the ad takes you to the Westlaw Rewards catalog, where you can donate in 250-point increments, which are equivalent to $5.”

Forget Full Authority…Try Best Authority

New flash from our Jessica, our Lexis representative:

Lexis has just replaced the Full Authority product with Best Authority, a newer version that can be downloaded from the law school page.  Best Authority is a software application which makes it fast and easy to build a Table of Authorities (“TOA”) for any legal brief.   There is an instructional video and user guide, too.
